*Abstract: Low-frequency Raman scattering is a   spontaneous, non-elastic scattering produced by the local acoustic vibrations   of nano- and sub-micron particles. It is a method to obtain information about   the shape, size distribution, and interaction of these particles with   electromagnetic radiation. Stimulated low-frequency Raman scattering is the   corresponding stimulated process, which has high conversion efficiency and   narrow spectral width. In this presentation, the fundamental principles,   properties, and applications of stimulated low-frequency Raman scattering   will be discussed.

*Profile:Bi Dongxue graduated with a Ph.D. from Bauman   Moscow State Technical University in December 2020. She is currently an   associate researcher at the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy   of Sciences and an associate professor at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.   Her research focuses on the optical properties and applications of micro- and   nanostructures.
