Research Interests

I have been engaged in computational condensed matter physics and quantum materials. I study the electronic structure of real materials by first-principles calculation methods, as well as theoretical methods such as Green function, Wannier function, tight-binding approximation and effective model, and focus on various novel topological quantum states caused by the non-trivial topology of the system wave function , for instance, topological insulating states, topological semimetallic states, and topological superconducting states, as well as the twistronics of two-dimensional materials represented by twisted graphene systems.

1.Graphene, silicene, germanene, stanene and other novel two-dimensional layered material, and their twisted systems;
2.Topological phases, such as topological insulators and topological superconductors, topological Dirac/Weyl semimetal, and high-order topological states, etc.;
3.Transport in low dimensional and mesoscopic systems.

ACEDENIC PERFORMANCE & PUBLICATIONS

I have been engaged in the research of condensed matter theory and computational physics for a long time, and my research achievements in silicene, germanene, stanene, magic-angle graphene, weak topological insulators and topological superconductors have important international influences. Part of the results are included in the third edition of the monograph "Quantum Hall Effects" by Professor Z. F. Ezawa of Tohoku University, Japan. The first experimentally confirmed weak topological insulator material-β-Bi4X4(X="Br,I)" system is predicted [our theoretical work PRL 116, 066801 (2016), experimental work Nature 566, 518 (2019)].

I have published more than 40 papers, including 10 PRL papers, 1 each of Nat. Mater., Nat. Commun., PNAS, Adv. Mater., Nano Lett., 2 ACS Nano papers, which have more than 6600 SCI citations in total.

招生信息

I plan to recruit 2~3 graduate students every year. Students who are interested in scientific careers and interested in condensed matter theoretical physics and computational physics, especially the novelty properties of quantum functional materials are welcome to apply. Provide first-class research conditions, financial support, and competitive labor subsidies. Please contact me directly before applying for the exam. Excellent students can be pre-admitted after passing the interview.
At the same time, 1~2 postdoctoral fellows can be recruited for key funding, and the treatment is generous. Excellent young scholars with relevant experience are welcome to contact.
What to expect from you:
1. Passionate about scientific research;
2. Diligent, active and conscientious.
